Location

Nove Hrady is a small town located in the south of the Czech Republic on the Czech-Austrian border [map].The Academic and University Center resides in a very styleful chateau which provides many facilities such as two lecture halls, laboratories, apartments and a student dormitory. Thus, everything is situated in one building.

Transport

Arriving by plane

The Prague airport (Ruzyne) is about 180 km from Nove Hrady (2 hours by car, 3 hours by bus or train). From Prague, it is possible to use trains to Ceske Budejovice, where the institute van will be available to pick up people and transfer them to Nove Hrady. Alternatively, one can use the bus from Ceske Budejovice to Nove Hrady, which runs every two hours. If needed, the institute driver can pick up people directly at Prague airport.

Arriving by car

The road from Ceske Budejovice to Nove Hrady is clearly marked. The chateau with its large garden is the first historical building that one can see on the way to the town square. Parking is available on the premises.

Accommodation

Participants and lecturers will stay in the dormitory within the chateau or hotel located within walking distance from chateau.

Meal

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be served directly in the chateau.
